Together we can raise $2.5 million to open Oak City Cares in April 2019!
Oak City Cares is scheduled to open in April 2019, and work is already underway preparing for its initial three years of operation.
We are raising $2.5 million from individuals and organizations to fund expenses not covered by government funding sources. Expenses include programming and services for the first three years, furnishings and equipment, and start up costs.
The County, City, and other members of our community have committed funding, and we ask you to consider a financial gift that will make a real difference in caring for our community.
- Wake County and the City of Raleigh have invested $10.4 million to purchase and renovate the property at 1430 South Wilmington Street.
- Oak City Cares is a collaboration between the County, the City, the Partnership to End and Prevent Homelessness and Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh. It has its own Executive Director, programming staff, and Board of Directors.
Your support is critical to making Oak City Cares a success.
As the organization responsible for forming Oak City Cares, Catholic Charities is accepting online donations to support Oak City Cares.
Checks can be made payable to Catholic Charities and mailed to:
